The adventures of Tulse Luper, professional prisoner, continue during the years of World War II and afterwards. First, he is on the paradise island of Sark, enjoying self-imposed imprisonment until he is betrayed to the Germans by a jealous trio of sisters. PETER GREENAWAY
British director, born in 1942 in Newport. He trained as a painter, and began working as a film editor in 1965. In 1966 he started making his own films. The Draughtsmans Contract received enormous critical acclaim and established him internationally as one of the most original and important film makers of our times. He has produced a wealth of short films, but also paintings, novels and other books. He has curated exhibitions at museums world-wide.
